The ALLIA Elections Commission, in keeping with a mandate from the current ALLIA Leadership wishes to announce the Timetable for the 2023 ALLIA general elections. The election is slated for Saturday, August 19, 2023 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The commission will begin accepting applications from aspirants wishing to contest for position (s) on ALLIA Executive Committee and Board of Directors on July 25, 2023. Applications will be received between July 25th to August 15th, 2023 beginning at 07:00 hrs. and ending at 12:00 hrs.
All applications can be mailed in hard copy to: 5804 Mouzon Drive, Columbus, OH 43232 or hand delivered to members of the Commission (Rev. Alexander Y. Sumo, Sr., of Columbus, or Rev. Joseph N. Kpanie, II in Baltimore, MD, and or Hon. Paye Bill Gabie in Philadelphia, PA, and or Ms. Jaity Marshall in Philadelphia). We will also accept application via email to elections2023@1allia.com with a copy to saq9000@yahoo.com
All applicants are required to submit a written application, one passport photo, and a non-refundable registration and processing fee of $50.00 (Fifty Dollars). The fee must be sent in cash or certified money order made to ALLIA. No personal check will be accepted by the Commission. Names of qualified candidates will be published on August 15, 2023. Because ALLIA is a Christian or faith-based organization, there will be NO regular campaigns as political institutions do. Each candidate will be given few minutes opportunities to share their visions and leadership plans with the assembly or the electorates prior to the voting process in the election hall.

VOTING RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES
ONLY full members in good standing with ALLIA will be permitted to contest and or vote in these elections.
Membership of this organization shall be categorized into the followings:
1.1 FULL MEMBERSHIP
Full Membership of this organization shall be opened to all Liberian Lutherans and their dependents within the Americas.
1.2 ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP
Associate Membership of the organization shall be opened to all other Nationals-Lutherans, Liberian-Lutherans on Leave (Sick, Study, or Visitation), and ecumenical partners and their dependents within the Americas.
1.3 HONORARY MEMBERSHIP
Honorary Membership of this organization shall be opened to Full or Associate members who have relocated outside the Americas. Said member’s status shall be restored once the member has returned to the Americas.
Section 2: Membership Due
2.1 Membership Due: For anyone to qualify for membership in ALLIA exercising all rights and privileges, each member must pay an annual membership fee of hundred ($150.00) dollars and be committed to the goals and objectives of the organization. This amount may be paid in two installments or in full. The first installment must be paid before April 1st and the second installment before July 1st each year. Only members in good standing shall be entitled to vote on issues raised at the meetings including election of officers. "In good standing" means a member who is current in the payment of their dues and attends meetings/Conference call and annual reunions. (Installments or otherwise).
